OUTDOOR FESTIVALS

Keeping 30,000 people interested,
engaged and moving.

Standing across the street from the newly refurbished Eaton Centre, it’s hard not to marvel at the sheer size of the construction project.
What’s equally impressive is The Ultimate Street Party for 30,000 people unfolding just beneath the new façade. “Why don’t we shut down Yonge Street and hold a massive one-day festival?”
Simple question. Challenging answer.
Dozens of installations are slated for the kilometre-long stretch of the busiest street in the country.
Featuring constant entertainment – everything from a tabletop hockey tournament and story time with the country’s most revered children’s entertainer to a fashion show.
Yonge St. is slated to be closed for 24-consecutive hours. Parking, street closures, load-in, supply chain – everything must be coordinated. This takes a massive team taking months to imagine, negotiate, permit, determine logistics and execute something unforgettable.
From the basement of nearby Massey Hall, the team of more than 100 does just that, having built strong relationships with city departments, learning and creating the nuance required to develop and execute an event unlike any other in Toronto’s history.
