Business Galas

Elevating the possibilities at one of Canada’s most prestigious business events.

It’s mid-show at the Canadian Business Hall of Fame, and a young student is bringing the audience to its feet.
Standing just offstage, a producer smiles…amazed by just how far this event has grown.
Seven years ago, E.L. Productions was brought on board with the venerable event. Each year, four legendary business mavens, leaders and innovators are inducted into a Hall of Fame. It’s also a fundraiser, helping to raise awareness and funds for the not-for-profit Junior Achievement programming across Canada. Junior Achievement helps students across the country to develop business and entrepreneurial skills.
At the start of that journey, the program had looked and felt similar over its previous three decades.
With E.L. Productions, the Hall of Fame and Junior Achievement work to find a balance between the traditional format the audience of 1000 expects and new elements that keep the event engaging.
Each year, the team adds something original to heighten the impact. One year, it’s a dazzling circular LED wall that brings colour and energy. Another year, it’s the inclusion of students from Junior Achievement’s programs into the proceedings. Step-by-step, the program grows.
As a whole, the revised look adds to an event that features a private reception for recipients, companions and students, video biographies for inductees, multiple opportunities for donation, and a ceremony hosted by a famous Canadian – news anchor Peter Mansbridge was a familiar face for years.
As a team, E.L. Productions adds new thinking and outstanding execution from the design, all the way to every last detail of the evening.
“What’s great about this program is how we’ve grown together,” remarks the producer. “The additions ensure that this continues to be one of the brightest lights on the business gala calendar.”
